Heinrich Rudolf Hertz (* 22. Februar 1857 in Hamburg; † 1. Januar 1894 in Bonn) war ein deutscher Physiker. Insbesondere aufgrund seiner Arbeiten zum experimentellen Nachweis elektromagnetischer Wellen gilt Hertz als einer der bedeutendsten Physiker des 19. Jahrhunderts.

 

Heinrich Rudolf Hertz (February 22, 1857 – January 1, 1894) was a German physicist who clarified and expanded the electromagnetic theory of light that had been put forth by Maxwell. He was the first to satisfactorily demonstrate the existence of electromagnetic waves by building an apparatus to produce and detect radio waves.

 

ハインリヒ・ルドルフ・ヘルツ（Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, 1857年2月22日 - 1894年1月1日）は、ドイツの物理学者。マックスウェルの電磁気理論をさらに明確化し発展させた。1888年に電磁波の放射の存在を、それを生成・検出する機械の構築によって初めて実証した。
